Steve Wozniak, co-founder Apple, invests in a new blockchain-based company in Malta. He is also co-founder Efforce, an energy efficiency company. The Malta Independent , a Maltese newspaper, reported July 18.
According to Efforce’s LinkedIn Page, it will be the first blockchain-based platform for investing in energy efficiency. It stated that its goal was to “be recognized as the main platform for tokenized energy savings”
Wozniak, Jacopo Visteto founded the company. He works in renewable energy and environment as per his LinkedIn profile. This page shows that Visetti co-founded Efforce seven years ago, in January 2018.
According to the report, Wozniak spoke at Efforce’s pre-launch for Delta Summit in Malta. Wozniak discussed his belief that blockchain can be a boon for decreasing public’s environmental impact, without requiring people change their lifestyles.
Wozniak explained that the pro-blockchain attitude of the local government inspired him to open the company in Malta. Wozniak founded a blockchain investment company in October 2018. To support investments in blockchain solutions, he founded EQUI Global Venture Capital Fund.
