2022 started on a mixed note in terms price action. It promises to be an exciting year, as many platforms plan for different plans.
Shiba Inu (SHIB)
Bigger Entertainment shared their huge roadmap, which includes a list of burn initiatives that will take place every month for the Shiba Inu token burning. From Jan. 14 through Feb. 14, the Shib Lovers Merch Campaign will see 80% of all Shib Lovers’ purchases go towards burning SHIB.

NOWPayments announced that it will add a SHIB burning feature to its merchant platform in the early 2022. Cardano (ADA)
Charles Hoskinson, founder of Cardano, shared some of his plans for growth in 2022 during a 30-minute Christmas Eve talk that he gave via YouTube from his Colorado home.
“My goal in the second half 2022 is to find a way to combine all the pieces to create an end-to–end microfinance transaction for Cardano,” Hoskinson stated.
Cardano founder, , stated that a structure would be established to oversee the creation of decentralized products through the network.
Cardano Improvement Proposals are being developed by developers. This set of community-governed network enhancements is expected to go live in 2022. These include human-readable information about assets issued on Cardano as well as a native web wallet that allows you to interact with DeFi protocols.
Ethereum (ETH).
In 2021, the Ethereum blockchain began several network upgrades to prepare for its POS transformation in 2022. The official transition of Ethereum blockchain from proof-of-stake to Ethereum blockchain was made with the launch of the Merge (or Kintsugi) testnet in December. Merge, which is expected to launch before June 2022, would mark the end of Ethereum’s proof-of work (PoW), in order to complete the next block.
Aside from that, the EIP4345 Difficulty bomb delayed by Arrow Glacier network upgrades should land in June 2022.
XRP
Attorney Jeremy Hogan suggests April as the best estimate of the Ripple SEC Lawsuit’s resolution. Summer is a worst-case scenario. Brad Garlinghouse, Ripple CEO, had earlier stated that he was optimistic there would be closure of the case by 2022.
Expert discovery in the case is currently scheduled to conclude on January 14, after both sides filed a motion for it to be moved to that date. CEO Brad Garlinghouse revealed in a series tweets that Ripple had its best year yet despite the lawsuit.
