Colombian citizens will be able to get 20 new ATMs spread throughout the country. This joint effort is made possible by CoinLogiq and Paxful, a Bitcoin marketplace. They also plan to install 25 more crypto ATMs in Peru.
Initial efforts will focus on bringing ATM machines to Colombia’s capital, Bogota, and Medellin where CoinLogiq are based. These companies want to encourage cryptocurrency adoption by allowing people to use ATMs in these areas.
Dwayne Gold Sr., CEO of CoinLogiq says that the partnership between the two firms to provide these ATMs is a great mover for crypto adoption.
“I am convinced that mass adoption cannot happen without the influence that this Paxful/CoinLogiq joint venture can now create.”
According to reports, Colombians are extremely interested crypto. The Central Bank of Colombia is looking into supporting the use of distributed ledger technology to ensure the security and proper use of digital assets among interested parties.
Ray Youssef (Paxful CEO, co-founder) has spoken highly about the CoinLogiq team. Youssef stated:
The CoinLogiq crew is Latin America’s real hero. They care deeply and are focused on real uses cases. This is what makes Bitcoin real, and it’s a part people’s everyday lives. They are a proud partner.
